His 30-year-old female friend ran from the location into a nearby shopping complex. She was chased by a woman, armed with a crutch, and as she entered the complex she was assaulted.

She suffered minor injuries that didn’t required further treatment.

Police from Liverpool City Police Area Command were called and have commenced an investigation.

The man’s vehicle was also damaged during the incident; it’s believed one of the group smashed the windscreen with a piece of timber.
