Police and emergency services have commenced a search for an overdue boat missing off the coast near Wujal Wujal, Queensland Police say.
At about 11am on July 15, four men left the Wujal Wujal area in a small dinghy possibly headed towards the Hope Islands or Pickersgill Reef.
Police and family hold concerns for their welfare as they were expected to return by late afternoon however failed to return.
Resources involved in the search include the EMQ rescue helicopter, the Challenger SAR aircraft and police water vessel the Perry Irwin.
Police are appealing to boat users in the area to be on the lookout for the missing men.
