Marsden Park Shooting: Police Launch Investigation

An investigation is underway following a public place shooting and a car fire overnight.

About 10.45pm last night (Thursday 1 May 2025) police were called to Steeple Place, Marsden Park, following reports of shots fired.

Officers attached to Riverstone Police Area Command attended and found several shots had been fired into a house.

No injuries were reported.

A short time later, about 11.20pm, emergency services were called to a park on Oramzi Road, Girraween, following reports of a car fire.

Officers attached to Cumberland Police Area Command attended, alongside Fire and Rescue NSW crews who extinguished the blaze.

The vehicle was destroyed.

Police established crime scenes at both locations and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incidents.

Officers are investigating whether the two incidents are linked.
