Work has started on the realignment of Marshall Street in Dapto to make way for the new bridge as part of the Fowlers Road to Fairwater Drive Link project.
This will include the removal of the Marshall Street and Fowlers Road roundabout. The new alignment will enable traffic to continue to travel from one end of Marshall Street to the other.
Works to connect the new section of Marshall Street to the road network are anticipated to take approximately three weeks to complete and the Marshall Street roundabout will be closed through traffic during this time.
Traffic detours will be in place throughout construction and the new Marshall Street alignment is expected to be open to traffic on Monday 11 February 2019, depending on weather and site conditions.
Preliminary drainage works will also occur during this period, just south of the Marshall Street and Fowlers Road roundabout.
