Western Region Commander, Assistant Commissioner Geoff McKechnie APM, will join officers and distinguished guests at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Dubbo for a service to honour fallen police tomorrow (Friday 27 September 2019).
This year marks the 30-year anniversary of National Police Remembrance Day. The ceremony will commemorate the service and sacrifice of 273 members of the NSW Police Force who have lost their lives in the line of duty and through injury or illness since the formation of the NSW Police Force in 1862.
Local media are invited to attend the service which will be followed by morning tea.
