MEDIA ADVISORY: Woman critically injured in fight; another woman charged at Tweed Heads

Police will speak with the media after a woman was allegedly stabbed during a fight with another woman at Tweed Heads yesterday.

About 1.40pm (Wednesday 28 September 2022), emergency services were called to an apartment block at Seymour Street, Tweed Heads, following reports of a stabbing.

Officers from Tweed Heads Traffic and Highway Patrol Command provided first aid to a 48-year-old woman before she was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical but stable condition, where she remains after undergoing surgery.

A 37-year-old woman was arrested and has since been charged over the alleged incident.
