Men’s Shed donate handmade sleigh for QPS Gift Drive!

Left to right: Inspector Trevor Gould – Business Manager, Policelink and Programs Group, Sue Roberts – The Commissioner’s Gift Drive, and Gerry Loth from Sandgate Men’s Shed Inc, Queensland Police say.

The QPS would like to offer sincere thanks to Sandgate and Districts Men’s Shed Inc. for the beautiful new sleigh they have built for the Commissioner’s 2018 Gift Drive.

The Gift Drive has been run by QPS staff for the last 26 years, with new donated toys being supplied to children at-risk or disadvantaged children over the Christmas period.

This year we hope to provide toys to nearly 1,500 children in need.

The new sleigh will be displayed in Police Headquarters, and staff will place their donations inside for collection by the Gift Drive team in late November.

Sandgate and Districts Men’s Shed Inc. have also donated some amazing handmade toys.

Thank you for your generosity and craftsmanship!
