Men sought after convenience store robbery at Auburn

Detectives from Auburn Police Area Command are calling for public assistance after a convenience store was robbed, and two other stores were targeted, in Auburn on Wednesday.

The first incident occurred about 7.35pm (Wednesday 19 August 2020), at a convenience store at the intersection of Albert and Cumberland roads, Auburn. Two males attempted to gain entry to the store, however the doors were locked. They were last seen walking down Cumberland Road.

Both men were wearing blue surgical masks, black Adidas jumpers, black gloves, black shorts with black tights underneath and black shoes with white soles. One of the men was carrying a large black duffle bag.

The second incident occurred about 7.50pm the same night when two males entered a convenience store on Wellington Road, walked behind the counter and took cash from the till. The store owner was not injured.

The third incident occurred shortly after, at 7.55pm, at a convenience store on Cumberland Road when two males entered a convenience store and left empty handed.

Officers attached to Auburn Police Area Command were alerted to the incidents and commenced an investigation.
