Mental Health Day 2021

Mental Health Day

Mental Health Day is a global initiative that raises awareness about mental health and promotes positive wellbeing. This year, we are celebrating the day on 10 October.

According to the Department of Health and Human Services, almost half of us will experience a mental health condition in our lifetime. With the ongoing challenges of this year, prioritising your mental health and wellbeing has never been more important.

In our recent consultation to renew the Boroondara Community Plan 2021-31, residents told us that mental health and social connection were priority areas for our community.

We continue to work closely with community organisations and service providers to make sure our community:

  • has greater knowledge about mental health
  • feels safe to talk openly about mental health
  • is supported when they ask for help.
