Microsoft rolls out Skype for Business for $2.20/month

Microsoft is now rolling out Skype for Business to its Office 365 customers using Lync Online.

"Skype for Business (formerly Microsoft Lync) is a communications and collaboration platform that brings together an experience inspired by Skype with enterprise -grade security, compliance and control," wrote the Skype For Business team on Microsoft’s Office blog.

For two years, Microsoft kept both Skype and Lync available, even with a lot of overlap between the two products.

“Skype for Business” section on the Skype website shows features such as integration with Office apps, scheduling meetings in Outlook, having up to 250 people in meetings, enterprise-grade security and management of employee accounts etc. The price is shown as from $2.20 user/month.
