Mildura charges after series of burglaries

Mildura Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged two men following an ongoing investigation into a series of burglaries in Mildura.

The pair were arrested after a warrant was executed at a property on Gowie Grove, Irymple yesterday.

Investigators located drugs and what is believed to be stolen property which was allegedly stolen from burglaries and thefts dating back to May this year.

The men, aged 33 from Irymple and 23 from Mildura, have each been charged with:

• Burglary (x6);

• Theft (x11);

• Handle stolen goods; and

• Weapons and drug related offences

They were remanded and will appear at Mildura Magistrates' Court today.

Motorcycles, cars, trailers, power tools and building materials were recovered during the warrant.

It is expected the value of the recovered property could be worth up to $90,000 and police will continue to work to identify owners of the property.
