Missing boy Jayden Whyte located safe and well

Police have located Bendigo boy Jayden Whyte safe and well after he went missing last night.

The 12-year-old was with a family member at Southern Cross Railway Station last night (1 May).

Both were waiting to catch a 5.55pm train from Melbourne to Bendigo on Platform 16, however the train departed before Jayden boarded.

It is believed Jayden had left the station by the time his family member was able to return to the platform.

Jayden was located this morning safe and well about 7.15am after returning to Southern Cross Station.

Police would like to thank the public and media for their assistance.
