Missing elderly man at Toowoomba

Urgent public assistance is sought to locate an elderly man reported missing in Toowoomba early this morning.

Eric Ewing left a residence on Willem Close sometime after 1am by foot, travelling in an unknown direction.

Police hold concern for Eric's welfare as he suffers from a medical condition where he may appear dazed and confused if approached.

Eric, aged 73, is described as Caucasian in appearance and bald with short white facial hair.

He was last seen blue flannel pants, a blue long sleeve t-shirt and no shoes.

Police will commence a search of the area this morning and residents are asked to assist by checking their properties.
