Missing elderly man near Maitland

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate an elderly man missing from the Hunter region.

Peter Mallon, aged 78, was last seen on Benshulla Drive, Bolwarra Heights, about 11am today (Tuesday 9 March 2021).

Officers from Port Stephens-Hunter Police District were notified and have commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police and family are concerned for his welfare due to his age and medical conditions.

He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, between 185cm to 190cm tall, with a thin build, short grey hair and a beard.

He was last seen wearing a pale blue button up long sleeve shirt, dark blue trackpants and light brown ugg boots.

Anyone who may have seen Peter or may know of his whereabouts is urged to contact police immediately.
