Missing girl in Ryde

Police are seeking public assistance to help locate girl reported missing at Ryde today, NSW Police say.

Katie Metafield, 14, went missing about 12.30pm from Betola Street, Ryde.

Police from Ryde Local Area Command were contacted a short time later and commenced a co-ordinated search of the area involving local police, Polair, Public Order and Riot Squad officers and the Dog unit.

Police and family have concerns for her welfare as she suffers from a medical condition.

Katie is described as being of Caucasian appearance with a thin build and short blonde hair.

She was last seen wearing a grey jumper, black tracksuit pants with a red stripe and pink sandals and socks.

Anyone with information about her whereabouts is urged to contact triple zero (000).

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
