Missing man, Fraser Island

Police are seeking public assistance to help locate a man reported missing on Fraser Island, Queensland Police say.

26-year-old Christopher Tracey was last seen leaving a trawler which had run aground on Fraser Island in the vicinity of Eurong Village at around 6.30am this morning.

Police and family hold concerns for his health and welfare as his behaviour is out of character.

He is described as Caucasian, around 174cms tall, with brown hair and a proportional build.

He was last seen wearing a red hooded jumper with a black stripe.

Anyone who has seen Christopher or who may have an information in regard to his whereabouts are asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
