Missing man from Mongolia sought by police in Mascot

Police continue to search for a man visiting Australia, who went missing from Mascot earlier today, NSW Police say.

Mr Dash GONCHIGSUREN is 66-years-old, and was staying with relatives when he was last seen in Jackson Drive, about midday today.

He left the premises to go outside for a cigarette and was last seen walking from Jackson Drive towards Kent Road at Mascot.

Police, along with Mr Gonchigsuren’s family, hold serious concerns for his welfare due to his medical condition.

The Mongolian National does not have access to a mobile phone or money and is not able to understand English.

He is described as being of Asian appearance and is bald, with a medium build and walks with a limp following a brain injury.

When last seen he was wearing grey zip up jacket, navy shorts, slippers and a grey baseball cap.

Mr Gonchigsuren may appear distressed and police urge anyone with information about him to contact police at Mascot immediately of Crime Stoppers.
