A man missing the Campsie area has been located safe and well after an SMS geo-targeting alert was issued today.
The 81-year-old man was last seen at an aged care facility on Albert Street, Campsie about 6.30pm yesterday (Wednesday 13 July 2022).
Officers attached to Campsie Police Area Command were notified when he could not be located.
Police subsequently issued a public appeal for information and an SMS geo-targeting alert to the Strathfield, Campsie and Marrickville areas.
About midday today (Thursday 14 July 2022), the man was located safe and well at Strathfield by a member of the public – who had received the alert.
Police would like to thank the public and media for their assistance.
