Missing man's body located in Royal National Park

The body of a man reported missing from Sydney's Inner West has been located.

The 36-year-old man was reported missing to officers from Inner West Police Area Command on Friday 26 February 2021.

Following inquiries, police determined that the Camperdown man was last seen at Loftus Railway Station with his bike about 12.25pm on Tuesday 23 February 2021.

A number of large-scale searches were conducted in the Royal National Park over the past three weeks.

About 11.40am yesterday (Thursday 18 March 2021), the body of a man was located in dense bushland in the Royal National Park by the NSW Police Force Dog Unit.

While the body is yet to be formally identified, it is believed to be that of the missing 36-year-old man.

The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
