Missing teenager in Parramatta

Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate a teenager missing from Sydney’s west, NSW Police say.

Waaka Otene, 13, was last seen about 9.30am last Tuesday (4 October 2016) when he left a relative’s home on Sorell Street, North Parramatta.

He was reported missing to officers from Parramatta Local Area Command on Friday (7 October 2016).

Despite extensive searches, Waaka has not been located.

Police and family have concerns for his welfare due to his age.

Waaka is described as being of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, about 155cm to 160cm tall, of thin build with brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to come forward.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
