Police and emergency services responded to a fatal collision in Moonee Ponds which occurred earlier this evening, Victoria Police say.
It is believed a Nissan sedan was travelling west on Dean Street when it drifted onto the incorrect side of the road just before 5.30pm.
The west-bound vehicle collided with a Holden SUV which was travelling east.
The driver and single occupant of the Nissan, a 19-year-old Flemington man died at the scene.
The driver of the other vehicle received, a 25-year-old Pascoe Vale woman, received minor injuries and was conveyed to hospital.
Police are investigating the incident and urge anyone who witnessed the collision to contact Crime Stoppers.
