Sunshine Coast ambulance stations will receive 19 more staff, thanks to the Palaszczuk Government's record frontline services funding in the 2019-20 State Budget.
Minister for Health and Ambulance Services Steven Miles said the additional staff would make a world of difference.
"The Sunshine Coast has a population that's growing and ageing, and services need to expand to meet the needs of the community," Mr Miles said.
"Well-funded frontline health services are critical for keeping our community safe.
"We know you can't cut services like the LNP want to and expect communities to stay happy and healthy.
"That's why the Palaszczuk Government will always prioritise keeping Queenslanders healthy – and that's exactly what we're doing here."
Mr Miles said creating jobs in the health sector was a priority for the Palaszczuk Government.
"I'm excited to announce three new paramedics will be assigned to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital Patient Access Coordination Hub (PACH), to help coordinate patient arrivals," Mr Miles said.
"PACH is the Sunshine Coast health system's state-of-the-art command centre, and I'm sure the new staff will make a great contribution there.
"It's my aim to ensure every person on the Sunshine Coast receives a world-class health service."
Mr Miles said the announcement is part of a massive investment of 200 new paramedics across Queensland.
"Nearly one-in-ten paramedics announced in the State Budget will be assigned to the Sunshine Coast," Mr Miles said.
"It's part of our record $885.7 million QAS budget which includes a funding boost of $85.4 million.
"This State Budget is about two things: providing high quality services and creating jobs in regional Queensland."
