Approximately 12:45pm on Thursday 23 February 2017, a crash occurred on Moriarty Road, Latrobe where a maroon Ford hatch struck a power pole, Tasmania Police say.
As a result of the crash one person was trapped and had to be cut free by the Tasmania Fire Service. The single occupant was transported to hospital by ambulance, sustaining serious injuries.
Initial investigations by police point to inattention as a contributing factor to the crash.
