Motorcycle rider seriously injured in crash - Caringbah

A motorcycle rider has been seriously injured in a crash in Sydney's south.

About 12pm today (Wednesday 12 May 2021), emergency services were called Northumberland Road, Caringbah, after reports a white Honda Civic sedan and a black Harley Davidson motorcycle had collided.

The rider, a 71-year-old man, was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics and taken to St George Hospital in a serious but stable condition; he has now undergone emergency surgery for leg injuries.

Officers from Sutherland Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation.

The car driver is currently assisting police with their inquiries.
