Police are currently on scene of a fatal collision that has claimed the life of a motorcyclist in Melton South this afternoon, Victoria Police say.
Police have been told a white utility and a motorcycle were both travelling city bound when they collided at the on-ramp of the Western Freeway about 2.30pm.
The male rider, who is yet to be formally identified, died at the scene.
The male driver of the utility was not injured and is assisting police with their enquiries.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision and are keen to speak to any witnesses.
