Motorcyclist critical after crash - Homebush West

Police are appealing for public assistance after a man suffered critical injuries in a motorcycle crash in Sydney's west yesterday.

About 1.30pm (Friday 5 February 2021), police and emergency services responded to reports of a crash on Marlborough Road, Homebush West.

Police were told the rider was travelling south when he swerved to miss a truck, fell from his bike, and became lodged beneath a trailer, that was being towed by another vehicle.

The 31-year-old man was taken to Westmead Hospital with severe internal, spinal and facial injuries, requiring emergency surgery.

The drivers of the two other vehicles involved in the incident were taken to Auburn Hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers attached to Auburn Police Area Command commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Investigators are appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash, or have dashcam footage, to contact Auburn Police or Crime Stoppers.
