Motorcyclist Dies After Crash At Wallabadah

One person has died following a crash in the state's northwest today.

About 2.50pm (Sunday 24 May 2026), emergency services attended the New England Highway at Wallabadah — about 55km south of Tamworth — after reports of a motorcycle crash.

Police remain at the scene, and a crime scene has been established as investigations into the circumstances of the crash continue.

The New England Highway is closed in both directions at Wallabadah, between Maria Street and the Kamilaroi Highway, and motorists are urged to avoid the area.
