Motorcyclist Dies After Crashing South Of Taree

A motorcyclist has died after crashing 15km south of Taree.

Emergency services were called to the Pacific Highway at Rainbow Flat just after 2.20pm yesterday (Monday 22 December 2025), following reports of a single-vehicle crash.

Officers attached to Manning Great Lakes Police District were told a northbound motorcycle had lost control before the rider was thrown from it.

The rider – a 71-year-old man – died at the scene.

A crime scene has been established, and police commenced an investigation into the incident.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
