Motorcyclist dies after two-vehicle crash near Mudgee

A motorcyclist has died following a two-vehicle crash in the state's west today.

About 11am (Thursday 23 January 2020), emergency services were called to Windeyer Road at Windeyer, about 30km south of Mudgee, following reports a motorcycle and a Holden Barina hatchback had collided.

The motorcyclist, a man believed to be aged in his 60s, died at the scene. He has not been formally identified.

The driver of the hatchback, a 51-year-old woman, was taken to Mudgee Hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers attached to Orana Mid-Western Police District established a crime scene with the Crash Investigation Unit investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
