Motorcyclist dies in crash near Tweed Heads, NSW

Police are investigating after a motorcyclist died in a fatal crash in the state’s north yesterday, NSW Police say.

About 10.15am yesterday, a Toyota Hilux utility and a motorcyclist collided at the intersection of Numinbah Road and Couchy Creek Road, Numinbah.

The rider of the motorcycle, a 22-year-old man, died at the scene.

The driver of the Hilux, an 87-year-old man was not injured. He was taken to Murwillumbah Hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers from the Crash Investigation Unit attended and will investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
