Motorcyclist dies in crash, NSW

A motorcyclist has died following a crash in Sydney’s south west this evening, NSW Police say.

Just before 9.20pm today, emergency services were called to King Georges Road, Wiley Park, after a motorbike travelling north and a van travelling south collided.

The male rider died at the scene.

The driver and sole occupant of the van, a 51-year-old man, was not injured.

He was breath tested at the scene where he returned a negative result. He was taken to Canterbury Hospital for mandatory blood and urine testing.

Officers from Campsie Local Area Command attended and crime scene investigators are en route.

The road is expected to be closed for several hours while the scene is examined.

A brief will be prepared for the Coroner.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
