Motorcyclist dies in two-vehicle crash - Palm Beach

A man has died following a two-vehicle crash on Sydney's Northern Beaches earlier today.

Just before 9am (Sunday 11 March 2021), emergency services were called to Barrenjoey Road, near Surf Road, Palm Beach, following reports a truck and a motorcycle collided.

The rider, a 46-year-old man, was thrown from his motorcycle and died at the scene.

The truck driver, a 29-year-old Queensland man, was not injured and taken to Northern Beaches Hospital where he underwent mandatory testing. He was arrested at the hospital and taken to Manly Police Station where he is assisting with inquiries.

Officers from Northern Beaches Police Area Command established a crime scene which has been forensically examined.

Inquiries continue into the circumstance surrounding the crash and a report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
