Motorist robbed after stopping to change a tyre, SA

Police are investigating a robbery where a motorist was robbed of cash when he stopped to change a tyre in Adelaide’s north last month, according to SA Police.

Just after 7pm on Friday 3 August a motorist stopped his Toyota utility on Diagonal Road, Pooraka, to change a flat tyre when a black VZ Commodore pulled up behind with what appeared to be flashing red and blue lights. The driver was approached by two men, one of whom was armed with a stanley knife.

The suspects threatened the victim before stealing his wallet from within the vehicle.

The victim received minor injuries during the incident.

The two suspects drove away after the robbery and were last seen heading east towards Main North Road.

The armed suspect is described as being aged in his 30s, of Caucasian appearance, about 178cm tall, solid build and unshaven. He was seen wearing a black hooded jumper, black Adidas tracksuit pants with white stripes on the leg and black gloves.

The second male is described as Caucasian, 183cm tall, aged in his early 40s, medium build with fair complexion. He was wearing a black hooded jumper, black pants and black gloves.

Detectives from Eastern District are investigating this incident and would like to speak to any drivers who were travelling along Diagonal Road, POORAKA between 7pm and 7.30pm on Friday 3 August who have dashcam footage recording on their vehicles.
