Goulburn Mulwaree Council is aware that the current road works on Mountain Ash Road are unsatisfactory, and it understands the community's frustration regarding the condition of the road.
Council has issued its contractor with non-performance notices and is actively engaging in discussions to address these concerns and ensure the required standards are met.
Unfortunately, due to ongoing weather conditions, further rectification works will now need to be delayed until September. While this is not the outcome Council had hoped for, safety remains its priority, and staff are continuing to work to ensure the road is as safe as possible in the interim.
Motorists are urged to follow all signage, drive to the conditions, and take extra care when travelling through the area until works can recommence.
