Multi Law Enforcement Operation in Northern NSW

Police have arrested five people during an operation targeting illegal access and trespassing upon Commonwealth Land in Northern NSW recently, NSW Police say.

Operation Hornets, comprising of officers from Port Stephens Local Area Command, Royal Australian Air Force Security Police and National Parks and Wildlife Service’s was launched on Friday (24 June 2016) and concluded last night on Saturday yesterday.

The two-day operation saw five people arrested, totalling 13 charges.

Of the five arrests, four were charged with Trespass on prohibited Commonwealth Land and enter park or part of park closed to public and were issued with Field Court Attendance Notices to appear at Raymond Terrace Local Court on Monday 25 July 2016.

The fifth person was charged with trespass on prohibited Commonwealth land, enter park or part of park closed to public, drive manner dangerous, and drive unregistered and uninsured vehicle.
