Multiple stealing charges in Beenleigh, QLD

A man has been charged in relation to the alleged theft from eight businesses across Beenleigh this afternoon, Queensland Police say.

Around 1.18pm it will be alleged the 21-year-old Buccan man entered a service station on George Street, reached over the counter and stole a quantity of cash from the til.

A short time later it will be alleged the man entered a service station at Mount Warren Park and reached over the counter before stealing a sum of cash.

Police will further allege the man then entered several other businesses around Beenleigh and Eagleby including two supermarkets, a service station, chemist, fast food restaurant and takeaway food store where he stole cash and other items.

On at least two occasions it will be alleged the man assaulted victims trying to stop the thefts from occurring.

It will be alleged the man fled in a vehicle and a number of police crews including Polair responded.

Soon after the same vehicle was located by police patrolling in Hugh Muntz Park at Eagleby and the man was taken into custody without incident.

A 21-year-old Buccan man has been charged with 13 offences including robbery and stealing. He is expected to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court tomorrow, November 28.
