Mystery South Australian Wins Saturday Lotto Jackpot

A resident or possibly a visitor of Whyalla Norrie has struck gold with a $730,000 win in the recent X Lotto draw. However, they might still be in the dark about their newfound fortune.

The mystery individual from South Australia secured one of the seven division one winning tickets in the Saturday X Lotto draw 4405 on 7 October 2023. Their winnings amount to an impressive $738,668.19.

Complicating matters, the winning ticket was not registered to a player card and lottery officials are unable to inform the lucky winner about their windfall, and the onus is on the winner to come forward after checking their ticket.

The ticket in question was procured from George Avenue Deli, located at 77 George Avenue in Whyalla Norrie.

Lorna-Jane Anderson, the owner of George Avenue Deli, couldn't hide her excitement at the news.

"Wow! What wonderful news! We’re so happy to hear we had sold another division one winning entry in Saturday X Lotto," Anderson remarked.

"We’ve sold many major lottery prizes in the past two years and in fact, almost a year ago we had sold a top prize-winning Instant Scratch-Its ticket worth $100,000."

Anderson expressed her hopes for the winner to come forward soon.

"We hope our division one winner comes and checks their ticket at our outlet very soon. We would like to congratulate them and wish them a lot of enjoyment from their win.”

Anna Hobdell, a spokesperson for The Lott, is also keen to get in touch with the anonymous winner.

"It’s very likely this winner is oblivious to the fact they became a division one winner on the weekend”.

She urged anyone who purchased an X Lotto ticket from George Avenue Deli to verify their tickets promptly.

The winning combination for the Saturday X Lotto draw 4405 was 18, 23, 25, 37, 28, and 35, with 16 and 8 as the supplementary numbers.

Nationally, the draw produced seven division one winners: three from South Australia, three from Victoria, and one from Western Australia.
