Ms Schafer was appointed to the Australian Reinsurance Pool Corporation in September 2021.

She has extensive board experience with her current board roles including Non‑Executive Director, Queensland Urban Utilities, Non‑Executive Director, CS Energy and Non‑Executive Director, Av Super.

The NCC is established under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010. Its main functions include making recommendations to relevant ministers in relation to applications to bring infrastructure into the National Access Regime, and the certification of State and Territory access regimes.
