National Road Safety Week - move over, slow down campaign

The Queensland Police Service is supporting a new road safety campaign as part of National Road Safety Week (NRSW) 2019.

"Move over, slow down" is a targeted social media and outdoor road safety campaign reminding drivers to behave safely when passing roadside emergency responders and their vehicles.

Assistant Commissioner Mike Keating from Road Policing Command joined other emergency services colleagues along with TMR and RACQ to launch the campaign today, on the day of NRSW dedicated to recognising the safety of roadside workers.

The campaign will run from today until June 8 through on social media, as well as on outdoor billboards at high-volume, high-speed locations on the Queensland road network, including the Bruce Highway at Eumundi, Warrego Highway at Crowley Vale, and Captain Cook Highway at Cairns North.
