National Terrorism Threat Level following London attack, SA

South Australia Police work closely with National and State partners relative to terrorism threats, according to SA Police.

The National Terrorism Threat Level remains unchanged at probable.

Credible intelligence, assessed by our security agencies, indicates that individuals or groups continue to possess the intent and capability to conduct a terrorist attack in Australia.

With respect to the Westminster incident in London, South Australia Police has no information to suggest that there is any specific threat to people, Parliament House or other locations in South Australia.

South Australia Police continually assesses information as it comes to hand; and if need be, will take timely and appropriate action to escalate security arrangements if required.

Comprehensive reviews of security arrangements at Parliament House are regularly conducted relevant to the terrorism threat.

Today Police have attended Parliament House, Adelaide to confirm the appropriateness of current security arrangements.

At this time current security arrangements at Parliament House are considered appropriate.

All South Australians should remain vigilant. Life-threatening incidents should be reported to the police by calling Triple Zero (000) while suspicious activity should be reported to the National Security Hotline by calling 1800 123 400.
