More than half of the Northern Beaches Leisure Trail (NBLT) is now finished, with three stages of the project 93 per cent complete.
Construction of the NBLT started in June 2018 and when complete, the trail will provide a shared pedestrian and cycling link from Palm Cove to the Cairns CBD.
The project comprises of five stages, with Stage 1 (Palm Cove to Kewarra Beach) 90 per cent complete, and Stage 2 (Holloways Beach to Machans Beach) and Stage 3 (Yorkeys Knob to Smithfield) both 95 per cent complete.
The two remaining stages are from Holloways Beach to Yorkeys Knob and Machans Beach to Cairns Esplanade.
