Netley home deliberately hit by fire bombs, South Australia

Police are investigating a suspicious fire at Netley and believe it may be a case of mistaken identity.

Just before 1am Friday 1 April police and MFS were called to Beare Avenue after reports that a brush fence and house were on fire. When emergency services arrived at the scene the fence fire had been brought mostly under control by quick thinking neighbours with garden hoses.

The house, which is believed to have been targeted with molotov cocktails, thankfully didn't ignite. Occupants of the home, who have recently moved to the address, were not injured and police believe they have been targeted as case of mistaken identity.

Southern District CIB are investigating the incident and ask anyone with information who has not yet spoken to police to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report on line at www.crimestopperssa.com.au - you can remain anonymous.
