Bayside households will soon be able to collect the new Neighbourhood Watch Bayside Community Safety Guide from a range of sites. It is the latest collaboration between Council and Neighbourhood Watch Bayside.
Launched recently, the guide provides practical information on how to protect our homes, families and property, including who to contact, what steps to take, and how we can all play a part in ensuring our families and property are safe.
It is the latest initiative in Council's broader commitment to responding to local safety concerns.
In the 2025-26 budget, Bayside City Council allocated $400,000 to respond to local safety concerns.
Bayside Mayor, Cr Debbie Taylor-Haynes said Council was proud to support Neighbourhood Watch Bayside to deliver a resource that helps people feel more informed, prepared and connected.
"A safe community is a connected and caring community," she said.
Some of our other community safety initiatives include free tamper-proof number plate screws for residents, two mobile CCTV cameras and trailers, and planning for fixed CCTV in police-identified hot spots.
The Bayside Community Safety Guide will be available from the Council Corporate Centre in Sandringham, Bayside libraries and other locations.
