New facility manager for Council's aged care facilities

Snowy Monaro Regional Council has appointed a new temporary facility manager to oversee Yallambee Lodge in Cooma and Snowy River Hostel in Berridale.

Jenelle McPherson will be heading up both facilities for the next six months. She brings with her 30 years of nursing experience, the last 15 of which were spent in aged, community and disability care both in Australia and internationally. Her experience in the industry is backed up by four university degrees, including two post-graduate qualifications.

"Council is proud to welcome our new facility manager to the Snowy Monaro aged care community. We continue to aim as a Council to provide our aged care residents with the highest possible standard of care. Jenelle's appointment is another win for our community," said Mayor Peter Beer, Snowy Monaro Regional Council.

The addition of Jenelle to the team will ensure that the high standard of care offered by these facilities continues, and the recent reaccreditation of Yallambee Lodge is a success that aged care in the region continues to build on.
