New Griffith business prospectus launched

Council is pleased to launch a new business prospectus - Invest in Griffith - which will provide valuable information to attract new businesses and development to the region.

The prospectus highlights what Griffith has to offer including services, workforce and market access, economic diversification and development opportunities.

Invest in Griffith also provides interesting data including economic profile and growth indicators, an overview of key industry sectors as well as information on transport, housing, industrial and commercial precincts.

Council's Director Economic and Organisational Development, Shireen Donaldson, said our region faces an exciting future, creating new opportunities for economic and social vitality in our community.

"Griffith has been earmarked by social demographer Bernard Salt as one of the most desirable places in Australia to live. It has low unemployment, good population growth and affordable housing," she said.

"Griffith is expected to play an important role in accommodating growth and providing employment, health, education and recreation opportunities to the region's smaller communities."

Mrs Donaldson is encouraging anyone wanting to invest in our region or to contact Council's Economic Development Team.

"Our team can assist in discovering the opportunities that exist for you and your enterprise," she said.

"Griffith City Council is extremely keen to assist businesses establish and expand in our region. This Prospectus will also be a valuable tool for local businesses to attract new business partnerships. "

Council's Economic Development Unit welcomes business enquiries and is happy to make appropriate introductions and provide information and assistance to facilitate investment planning.
