New Playground Equipment

Lithgow Council

Council has installed a number of new playgrounds throughout the local government area.

This has included replacing the playground equipment at Kiddle Park, in Church St Lithgow. The new playground design incorporates a shade sail and softfall, with the equipment moved closer to an existing pathway to improve access. A new picnic table and awning is currently on order and will be installed near the playground in the coming weeks.

Also replaced is the playground equipment at Ted Hughes Memorial Park, Lidsdale. This play equipment has been given a firefighting theme to honour the late Ted Hughes and the volunteers at the nearby RFS station.

New playground equipment has also been installed near the 50m pool at Lithgow's JM Robson Aquatic Centre, along with a fitness station.

The coming months will also see playground equipment replaced at Wallerawang's Federation Park, in Main Street. The new equipment is designed in a train theme in a nod to Wallerawang's rail history.
