A new South Bank Corporation Board will help the Queensland Government in its plans to deliver a master plan for the iconic precinct.
In announcing the three-year appointments, Minister for State Development, Manufacturing, Infrastructure and Planning Cameron Dick said the new board had a wealth of experience in urban planning, infrastructure and governance.
“Thirty years on from Expo ’88 and South Bank continues to evolve as one of Australia’s most vibrant urban cultural precincts,” Mr Dick said.
“The next chapter of that evolution will be driven by the development of the new South Bank master plan, and I look forward to working with the South Bank Corporation Board as we shape what the coming 30 years will look like for the precinct.”

Incoming Chairperson Professor Ian O’Connor said it was an honour to lead South Bank Corporation into the future.
“I look forward to delivering on our vision to continue innovating, managing and maintaining South Bank as the most vibrant urban and cultural precinct in the world,” Mr O’Connor said.
South Bank Corporation Chief Executive Officer Bill Delves said it was an exciting new era for the corporation.
“We look forward to working with the new board, and thank Minister Dick for his support,” Mr Delves said.
“We know that people will continue to visit and love South Bank.”
South Bank Corporation is responsible for planning and development of the South Bank precinct, with Parklands management undertaken by Brisbane City Council, under contract with South Bank Corporation and the Queensland Government.
