Expressions of interest for the Tasmanian Theatre Fund are now open with those who want to develop programs of high-quality theatre production encouraged to apply.
The Hodgman Liberal Government recognises the importance of theatre as an integral part of our cultural and creative industries in Tasmania.
The program is open to individuals, groups, organisations, or consortiums and are targeted to operate across Tasmania, develop audiences and reflect Tasmanian identity.
I hope that this new theatre fund will boost the Tasmanian performing arts sector, assisting it to develop quality content, and engage with new audiences across our culturally diverse State.
