Bland Shire Council is pleased to announce the appointment of Jake Jewell as its new Youth Officer.
A proud local, Jake brings a strong connection to the community, having grown up in the Bland Shire, he has recently worked in local schools guiding and supporting students. His appointment marks an exciting step forward for youth engagement in the region.
Jake's involvement in youth advocacy started early - he was an active member of the Bland Shire Youth Advisory Group while in Year 8, sparking his long-standing commitment to empowering young people.
Jake is also well-known in the community for his passion for music. He performed at the official opening of the Bland Shire Youth Centre, demonstrating not only his musical talent but also his dedication to creating vibrant and inclusive spaces for young people.
With a fresh perspective and a strong vision for the future, Jake is eager to work closely with youth across the Shire to develop programs and initiatives that reflect their needs and aspirations.
"Young people have so much to offer, and I'm here to help them be heard and supported," Jake said. "This role means a lot to me, and I'm excited about the opportunities ahead."
