Newcastle Company Hi-Vis Group wins Prestigious Hunter Business Award.

Hunter Business Chamber President, Jonathan Vandervoort, has awarded Hi-Vis Group the honour of the President’s Award at the Hunter Business Awards on Friday night 10 August 2018, held at NEX in Newcastle.

The President’s Award is selected by the Hunter Business Chamber President and recognises an organisation or individual that has added substantial value to the business efforts in the Hunter Region. It is the only Hunter Business Award not selected by a judging panel.

Mr Vandervoort said, "The award was established some years ago to provide the Chamber with an opportunity to recognise companies, individuals and organisations that have added a special value to the business community in ways that are not recognised by other awards.

Hi-Vis is one of Australia’s largest manufacturers of road, safety and specialty custom signage and safety products. The company successfully navigated their way through the mining downturn and during the last financial year saw a 28% increase in revenue.

They are staunch supporters of the region, contributing to the community through many sponsorships and volunteer programs."

Hi-Vis Group Managing Director, Brett Watson, accepted the award on behalf of the company thanking the Hunter Business Chamber for the unexpected recognition.

Hi-Vis Group is the only 3M Platinum Partner in NSW and are the longest continuous supplier to Roads & Maritime Services. The company has been at the forefront of the graphics and sign industry since 1983 and works with a diverse range of customers throughout Australia.

Recent projects have included the total rebranding for Transport NSW of all trains, buses, light rail and ferries totalling thousands of vehicle wraps and decals. The company was chosen to deliver the project due to its high-tech machinery and capability to meet tight turnaround times.

The Group operates from a National office and manufacturing facility at Carrington, employs approximately 65 local staff and is currently involved in a major expansion programme including a new state of the art office and warehouse adjoining the existing infrastructure.
